Hot air balloon are often introduced to kids in school presentations for various educational purposes:

• • • To learn about the history of flying
    • To learn about this unique type of aircraft
    • To see a balloon up close
    • To ask hot air balloon pilots and crew questions
    • A practical application of density and buoyancy concepts

Many W.A.S. members have traveled to schools to give presentations, show off their balloon equipment, and even inflate balloons if the weather conditions allows.

Shari Gale developed a great PowerPoint presentation that teachers, crew, or pilots may use during such events. It covers the history of balloons, modern day equipment, and the process of setting up, flying, and packing up the balloon. Please remember to give credit to Shari when utilizing the presentation. She put a lot of effort into it.
